Sewage plant visit- Santosh Nursing College
On 20th September 2023, the Sewage plant visit was planned for Santosh Nursing College, Ghaziabad for GNM 1st year and B. Sc students. At around 10:00 am students had reached the Plant along with Ms. Bhuvanya Asst. Prof and Ms. Shilpa Nursing Tutor. The students were given orientation regarding the sewage plant about the safety measures, hazards and how they should follow the rules inside the campus. Then the students visited the plant, at first, they had shown how the waste particles are removed from the drainage water which is coming generally and how it is segregated. Then the next process which the students learned is how the microorganisms are killed by providing oxygen to the water and how the water is chlorinated. Then they showed how the water is purified and it is tested in the lab. Finally, from the sewage treatment plant visit the students learned the full process of segregation, chlorination, separation and purification. The students gained knowledge regarding sewage treatment process. The visit was ended at around 1 pm. Students were also provided with refreshments from the plant.
