3RD NATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPY CONFERENCE

The 3rd SNPC Conference was successfully organized by Santosh College of Physiotherapy under the leadership of Dr. (Prof.) Deepak Raghav, Principal of Physiotherapy. Held annually to commemorate World Physiotherapy Day, the event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, blessings of Lord Ganesha, and a rendition of Saraswati Vandana.

Theme: Low Back Pain

This year’s conference centered around the theme of Low Back Pain, bringing together renowned speakers and chairpersons to share insights and expertise. The event welcomed distinguished guests, including Dr. Sanjeev Jha, President of IAP India, and Dr. Ruchi Varshney, Treasurer of IAP and National Head of IAPWC, who contributed with their valuable lectures and discussions.

Key Features and Sessions

The conference featured several engaging sessions, including:

  • Scientific Presentations: Paper and poster presentations by UG, PG, and Ph.D. scholars, evaluated by expert judges.
  • Awards and Recognition: Prizes were given to the best presentations, acknowledging the hard work and talent of participants.
  • Inaugural Ceremony: The event was inaugurated in the presence of esteemed dignitaries such as Pro-Chancellor Dr. Manoj Goyel, Registrar Dr. Ezhilrajan, Dean of Medical College Dr. Alka Agrawal, Dean Academic Dr. Shalabh Gupta, and others. The release of the Physiotherapy Yearbook 2023-24 added to the day’s significance.

  • Alumni Recognition: The 1999 batch of alumni was felicitated, with over 15 members attending and participating actively in the sessions.
  • Student Excellence Awards: Outstanding academic achievers and students with 100% attendance for the 2023-24 session were honored with certificates, medals, and gifts.

The conference saw participation from:

  • Over 180 students and 30+ delegates.
  • 10+ eminent speakers, who delivered enlightening lectures.

Cultural Extravaganza

Post-lunch, the event transitioned into a vibrant cultural celebration featuring:

  • Competitions: Bookmark-making, body/face painting, rangoli, singing, dancing, and a fashion show.
  • Judgment and Awards: Esteemed judges from various departments evaluated the performances, awarding the top three positions with medals, books, certificates, and gifts.

Conclusion

The conference concluded on a high note with the felicitation of judges and the organizing team led by Dr. Deepak Raghav. The event not only highlighted academic excellence but also fostered a spirit of creativity, collaboration, and camaraderie among students, faculty, and alumni.
